Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

A £14 admin charge to contact the insurance company :-o I'm in the wrong business - straightaway Monday morning I'm going to contact my vets and see if they need anyone to do their emails and phonecalls for them. I reckon I could probably contact 20 insurance companies an hour, giving them 3 minutes each so even if they only needed me for a couple of mornings a week I should be quids in ;-)

We're lucky that Ollie doesn't seem to take any interest in livestock - not that I'd ever risk him off lead near them. Might be due to him being chased by a muntjac in some woods a year or so back, he was not happy!!
Meanwhile when son fell asleep with Frankie not on his crate last night he awoke to this

Thankfully it wasn't plugged in

Oh you don't need to phone or email anyone, BBL, you select the appropriate form from a drop down menu, print it, and give it to the client to fill in (I assume they post it? Or maybe there's a charge for that).

However, Rory did throw up on their floor, which they had to clean up - s'pose I should be grateful there wasn't a 'floor cleaning' charge.

Wanda threw up all over their reception on one of her first visits to the vets. More recently she's been waiting until she gets home before throwing up... difficult to train 'you were right first time' on that one......

In the agility ring there is definite 'no'. If your dog fouls the ring - instant disqualification. It is the ultimate embarrassment, and requires officals to run around with spray bottles etc while everyone else tuts disapprovingly.

So it was with some relief that I watched as Jet disposed of all the sampled organic, grain-free, 'super for your dog' foods and half a pint of goat's milk and water on his way to the ring for his second run. Three poo bags later I was reasonably confident that he wasn't about to vomit in the ring.

The next owner wasn't so lucky. Tut tut.

TMI? ;-)

One of Rory's favourite things is peeing on the tunnels in the paddock at training (we go out there to practice recalls, or in his case 'running round and round staring at the sky and ignoring all treats/ toys/ people'). I'm guessing this is also frowned on...?

All this makes me happy, I love your stories.

We had a greyhound doing its second to last practice before taking its gold award today, brilliant send away to bed.. . however the second send away in the other direction resulted in complete euphoria from said dog as it ran / bounded round and round and round the field until it got caught up in its lead and the handler did a brilliant instant "stop the dog" ... cue much hilarity.

Indi prefers not to "wait" for me to put his bed down for send away..... sigh

however since his return from his sleepover he has mainly been asleep. :)

Rory prefers to chew his bed, throw it in the air, run around with it in his mouth... he doesn't *entirely* see the point of 'go to bed'.

We tried flyball yesterday. He was actually really good at going over the jumps, but he was scared of the ramp they have to run up to release a ball, not helped when I threw a ball for him to chase away from it and bounced it off his nose (I am not up for any 'handler of the year awards either... )
