Charlie has done "something" to his knee, either strained the ligaments or ruptured them. Can't tell without an xray.
He's on Metacam and total rest for a week - not even allowed gentle walks, just in the garden to do his business. We go back next Monday, hoefully he will be improving by then otherwise it's an xray and possible surgery.
Because he's a small dog, they're going to try a conservative, non-invasive approach first. If he'd been bigger and heavier then they would go straight for the xray.

Oh Alice, bless him, at least the Metacam will take the pain away. he is going to need something to entertain him once he feels less poorly, pity dogs cant do jigsaws.. I suggest a bone?

Yes D2, I'm already wondering how to keep him occupied and calm once he starts feeling better! He's slept nearly all of today but that's unusual, he's usually full of bounce. We'll cross that bridge when/if we come to it!
