Stella is looking forlornly through the patio doors from the garden, hoping I'll let her inside so that she can mooch some of the cake I'm scoffing. She's failed to realise that the doors are wide open, even when the cat barged past her and straight through.
She's maybe not as smart as I'd assumed she is!

Helegant
We're back. Three rounds.
Overview: Room for improvement. Detail: Agility - excluded - over-excitement meant he ran three times round the last fence before jumping it. Jumping - 10 faults and Jet stole a scone from the judges table. Luckily he ignored the chocolate cake. Helter-skelter - excluded. He didn't even start the course properly. Long day, lights off! 'Sit', 'wait', 'come' and he turned round and made straight for the food table again. This time the judges were ready for him. He was the third spaniel in a row to bolt from the line. No rosettes, no glory, but we enjoyed ourselves.

It is like being the parent of a teenager. You want them to behave well but sometimes... (atleast he didn't poo on the course!)

Rory jumped from standing onto an (outside, luckily) table at a National Trust cafe yesterday to steal my cheese scone. All four feet at once. He was so surprised he forgot to actually eat the scone, and I managed to rescue it.

Charlie fell off the sofa a couple of hours ago and hurt his back leg He's feeling quite sorry for himself and is snuggled up very close having lots of cuddles. He's limping when he gets up but it wears off after he's walked for a minute or two. I'm hoping it's just bruised - he let me have a gentle feel without yelping, I can't feel any bumps or swellings.... I'll see how he is tomorrow before deciding whether we need to visit the vet or not.
