I hope Cavalryman won't mind me posting a link to his blog here but I thought WB&W-ers might find it interesting. I certainly did

We have a neurotic dog.
Littlest'un arrived yesterday to stay while his parents go away on honeymoon.

Jet and littlest each want to investigate the other, and Jet thinks he's being pushed down the pecking order. (He's right)

We're trying to keep separation between them to avoid pokey fingers creating a snappy dog. With total supervision it's has been fine so far.
Last night I put the baby to bed and Jet than glued himself to me for the rest of the evening.
Last night Mr put Jet to bed and he whimpered for ages.

Hmm. Just read C's blog. He and the other dog owner sound like sensible people and I hope all turns out well. I smiled at his order of treatment - vet first.

I'm sure they will soon decide they are going to tolerate each other... but it must be confusing for Jet. I imagine they know each other a little bit anyway though so hopefully the grumbling will stop soon

Yes, they each seem to be very keen to get to know each other better.

The baby thinks Jet is giggle-worthy.

Jet wants to examine the baby, but is also lip-licking (no white-eye) and trying to stay between me and the baby.

I think we've achieved peace. The baby wants to play with Jet but we're stopping him, and I think Jet is relaxing a bit. He's happy for me to be between them now. We had an amusing moment when littlest'un picked up Jet's tennis ball and threw it. Jet looked at me for permission to fetch it and then brought it back to me not to the baby.

Glad it is going well now H. I guess it takes time to establish the new order of things.

We met the most lovely dog at the beach last night. A great big gentle thing - no idea of breed. He joined in Ernie's game of fetch and even though he was faster and got to the ball first he pawed it, stood back and wait for Ernie. He then trotted back to us with Ernie and claimed a treat when E dropped the ball.
