Yes I can confirm that Wanda got 6 new Fetchie stickers today and I got 5 (because I'd already met one of them before)

I will write a blog about it - but we spent this weekend in Norfolk and usually do Sheringham parkrun but I've been keen to do Holkham parkrun for a while and haven't got round to it over the summer so we went today - the Fetchies who had gone up to do the Round Norfolk Relay but had had to pull out because the team were carrying too many injuries to make the cut off times did Holkham parkrun too so it was a proper Fetch fest. Plus everyone else there seemed to be from running clubs within about a 10 mile radius of where I live too

Our run in with the police has been concluded today. The outcome was about as good as could be expected in as much as it is us who have been 'punished' for want of a better word, rather than the dog. So there is no requirement for Wanda to be muzzled at all times, or never let off the lead or anything like that - we've essentially been deemed to be responsible dog owners with a well trained and mostly well behaved dog.
We have accepted a caution from the police which does unfortunately mean a criminal record for three years but it suggests that the handler was 'at fault' not the dog. Even the officer dealing with it said it still seemed very harsh on us, but that they have to do their job and that means doing 'something'.
The only other implication is with Wanda's insurance, but we're looking at what we can do regarding that.
So certainly not the worst outcome, and we will go forward with the attitude that 'most' people will be looking for a reason to report Wanda to the police at all times... and we'll manage that accordingly.
Should we ever end up visiting Battersea for a dog again we're only going to accept an elderly and overweight Pug..........
