I'm sure Indi will be having a better time of it than you and your staff. Hope it all goes better than expected.

Last puppy class today. Ernie is a total star and even coped with the distraction of QP being with us. Our only blip is stay - he doesn't like it.

Wanda was a very good assistant marshal at parkrun this morning. It was also an opportunity for her to sit quietly with her muzzle on, it was a good 25 minutes before the concerted effort to take it off began... we're trying to do a little muzzle-wearing every day, as even though at the moment we are only 'required' to muzzle her in very crowded places (the sort of place where we would do so anyway or wouldn't take her in the first place) we don't know yet if that order will change.

We now have two muzzles because the one we had originally makes rubs her nose and has twice made it bleed, although I have sewn some fleece around the bit that rubs so hopefully that will help. The last thing we want is for her to be frightened, in pain or anxious while wearing it because that will only reinforce the idea in people's minds that she 'needs' to be muzzled all the time...... :-(

I'm sure you all know about it anyway but I found this site for dog recipes.

bdws.co.uk

We just made tuna cake (Asda delivery substituted my liver for pork mince). 10 mins and no ick factor. Ernie watched the whole time and approves.

Jet has worked out how to gain access to the big bin in the garage that holds his food. I think he has known 'how' for quite a while but my garage de-cluttering frenzy of this evening gave him time to perfect his technique. Happy dog.

I think I posted that on here a while back HP. That chap was v helpful when I was setting up my dog-walking business. His liver treats made me the pied piper of dogs in the local park after the first batch I cooked.

Yep - his liver cake recipe is the one I've always used and point people too (although I use less flour)

However I have never seen the other recipes so thanks. Now... if I can brave a pig's head I will. Raffo (vegetarian-ish) won't be too keen!

Mind you the only raw thing Jess HASN'T wolfed were the pigs trotters.

I'd never seen that site.... some great ideas there. I'm not sure I will be trying the pigs head though.... :-o I've always made liver cake in a bun tray like that because individual ones are easier to freeze... his looks a fairly standard liver cake recipe although I often put a clove or two of garlic in (only a tiny amount to make it a bit more smelly as I know garlic isn't good for dogs in large amounts).
