Are you going out soon, DS? I'm kinda waiting for you to get it over and done with and put me out of my misery.

GordonG, yes, you lose ranking points. Did you think it was a never-ending rise to infinity?

JCB, or anyone: Does the spreadsheet allow you to change the points as I intended? I notice that several people have looked, but the points are exactly as I left them.

USB, no, higher ranking people also meet-up up with people with the same ranking points. Everyone is matched with someone close-ish to them in the rankings. The match-ups work from the top and work downwards, like this: Each unmatched person is matched with the closest person below them that is also not already matched up, who is not on a break, and who they have not played already in the last 10/11 weeks. Since ranking points spread out towards the top, the chance of a match-up of someone on the same ranking points is less.

Tiamo, this is why the ranking position spread can get larger than 10, especially if people are on breaks. I wouldn't complain though: you had it coming as you're on a rich vein of form, you're winning your current match, and this gives you the opportunity to gain more than the usual amount of ranking points.

Thanks Snail. Good luck in the multiplayer semi-final. It's looking pretty hard fought from the outside.

Supplementary question please.
With lots of us on 1048 what decided that I should be the highest person?
