57.5 Degrees of Pain
But beware the wrath of local Facebook and net curtain twitchers everywhere.
Maybe for our second run we could mark your passage by regularly dropping squares of toilet paper?

Errr, while what ITG has posted is absolutely true, there's a wee bit of a discussion going on about whether we should all be sticking to the letter of the law or the spirit of the law, as per the guidelines, rather than the legislation. Go out as little as possible, for as short a time as possible, really, isn't it? Food, medicines and *some* exercise. Using one's own discretion on that exercise, but less is best, surely? Sorry, probably not one for the WSW thread. G

I don't disagree either but I do expect the law to be clear and police officers to know it.

There's been an objection from QCs in Scotland that current legislation being rushed through parliament is draconian, disproportionate etc. But isn't that inevitable when you create laws in days, that would normally take weeks, months or even years?
And the point was also made in defence of police, that they would also normally have months of training on the impact of new legislation and guidance on how to police it. There are going to be gaps and inconsistencies at this very tough time, surely?
I am normally the first to criticise government and even police when things are done badly, or infringe on civil liberties, but even I'm inclined to cut them a little slack at the mo?
Maybe not Johnson. Or Gove. Euwch. G

Scottish legislation is due tomorrow, I believe. The failure IMO is of communication with ministers not knowing their own regulations and making stuff up which, with the facebook version of Chinese Whispers, ends up completely incoherent. The media has also been lazy and printed guidelines (and ministerial statements) as law rather than reading the legal text.
The relevant sections are short and easy to read and understand. The guidelines are also pretty straightforward and I recommend you follow them too; they are not just ad hoc to piss people off. But there is a lot of confusion because of a lot of made up stuff as we have seen on this thread. Police statement was that they would use "enforcement" regarding guidelines which they have no authority to do (today's Guardian) The rule of law still applies, if not more so, in times of crisis. I'm a law prof; this matters to me.
My aim was to clarify, not to encourage you all to find loopholes.

+1 HappyG for one run a day and going out as little as possible otherwise (not at all for a week now). Honestly, I'm still running as long as family requirements allow, but that's under an hour a day anyway.
