That's a bit harsh on distance athletes but I guess a lot of folks (mostly not regular athletes) have taken advantage. Still, that means 23 hours a day indoors - which will be very hard for those who live alone, especially in the country with crappy connectivity and young parents. If you really all are limited to 1hr per day, then I think my current advantage because too significant for fair play. But you lot can work out how to max your squares in your one hour, making for a different sort of game (and back to city advantage for accessibility) |

Not clear advice then Synge. This means I am going to have to watch Gove to clarify. |

ITG, as you, I and many others have said: There are always reasons why some people my have advantages even without CV-19 about. Don't bow out because you think things are unfair in your favour! It's a game. It'll keep us sane to have as many people still involved as possible. Synge: Unless it's a firm dictat, which it currently isn't, I'm still running WSW routes as long as I can ensure 2-10m of separation all the time. For me that means pavements, as I then always have the road to use to give me and them space. *Moan alert:* There are still too many runners and walkers and cyclists not taking the separation seriously enough. A couple of times today, I was hard down the left side of a 5m path and the oncoming runner took the opportunity to move towards me to cut a slight corner. Several others are happy to run past walkers on pavements that are 1.5 m wide at most |

I didn't see the interview, but it is reported by the BBC here: bbc.co.uk I'm interpreting it as meaning there is not (yet) a strict upper limit of one hour. |

OK. Sounds like this is more of a guideline aimed at non-athletes so I will stay in the game for now. I ran 68km this week which is about 1 hr per day average but I also walked to work. I'll be working from home more now though but in a week or so I'll be able to get the bike out.
