*waves to Synge* It's certainly looking good for me as long as this week goes as I hope.
Changing the score so that you can't go below 1000 has made it much more feasible for me to climb the table and has given me back my mojo for this game. The other person that I know of that is trying to climb the ranks had a really hard game last week where his 13 mile run on Sunday was no enough because his opponent then did 12 miles on Monday morning. He is still in with a chance I think if this week goes well and if there are enough people above him in the table that don't actively engage with the game.

What constitutes 'engaging with the game'?

Viewing the game pages - that's all. This thread doesn't count.

The current 128 (if the multimatch were created today) has a lowest rating of 1024. The eagle-eyed will note that there are approximately 30 players on 1024 at present. The tie-break in this case is that the most recent visitors to the game take precedence.

That's a nice caveat and ties in with engagement.

So am I right in thinking that I can join in this despite my only training being walking?

Yes. 1 point for walking, 1 for cycling and 2 for running. So if you log your walks you’ll score 1 point for every square you walk through.
