I've just had a bit of a nightmare date. I'd been going out with Mary for a couple of months and she was saying she wanted us to live together. I told her that I'd pointed out right at the start that I wasn't after marriage or a live in partner, but she wouldn't give it up. Two weeks ago she tried to commit suicide over it! She's alright, but I told her that was it, I couldn't cope with that in my life. She's still texting me hoping to get back together, but I'm having none of it.
In better news, I've been seeing Debby, who I've mentioned on here before, quite a bit , but she still only wants to be friends. I'm going to stick with being her friend and hope she changes her mind in the future.

I am happily single. Planning on keeping it that way! I have had much better times with friends. Nick, rather a good friend than a manipulative difficult partner! Debbie is clear in her expressing what she wants, so were you with Mary. It has to work, right? And as you say, she may come round to more in due course. Think when Harry met Sally

I met up with an ex at the Groucho a few months ago. The chemistry was still there and it would be as we always had fun but she’d be no more than a ting as she lives in London and I now live hundreds of miles away from her.

Just checking in as another on-the-shelfie. Not even a sniff of a date but also not exactly putting myself out there. I guess it's all about online self-marketing... I work almost exclusively from home these days so never really cross paths with new people.
