Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bob Glover's Competitive Runners Handbook is good, very comprehensive.

I got Daniel's a couple of months ago and have started to use it to devise a training programme. Whehter it is any good or not - too early to say. I like charts and numbers and equations though - and Daniel's certainly has lots of those. Certainly an interesting resource.

Charlie Speddings autobiography was amazing best chapter of all time was the pub one :-)

Yawn - But Born to Run was awesome! Really enjoyed it and although there are some ulterior motives in their with some controversial thinking it is a maginifcent read :D

I found Lore of Running too technical for me. I bought Paula Radcliffe's How To Run at the beginning of the summer and loved it. Lots of schedules for all sorts of distances and experience. Advice on other aspects of running too.

Depends what you're after, but I've used Tom Holland's "The Marathon Method" for both half and full marathon training and it's given me a lot of useful pointers and ideas. I adapted the training plans.

I wouldn't mind betting Lore of Running is the best running book that nobody has actually read.
