I’m donating today and have been asked to wear face covering. I’m outside waiting to go in with homemade mask in place. I usually drink plenty but now mask is on I know it’s really not great to remove it to drink more so just have to hope it will all be ok. First donation since moving to a very veggie diet, still not totally veggie though.

Will report back after. Wish me luck. I feel nervous which I don’t usually.

I'm donating later today. Was booked for next week but secured a slot for this afternoon at short notice.

Good luck, Katie.

When I donated at the Stoke donation centre a couple of weeks ago I wasn't asked to wear a mask.

I haven't been asked to wear a mask, but I will.

My donation enforced strict social distancing rules - and hand gel etc. But not masks. I'm sure that will change though

Well. Mask done but honestly on and off to drink. I asked the donor carer about this and she said they prefer you to drink plenty rather than stick to strictly face covering. 9 min 37. Bit slow. But done! :-)

Glad it went well. I wasn't asked to wear one in May but they did all the hand gel, social distancing seating/queuing etc.

I've signed up to be sampled for platelets with my next donation at the end of July after reading Neilios exploits.

Well done Katie. 4 weeks ago (in Scotland) I wasn't asked to wear face covering but all blood assistants were. I guess that protected us more than them? Happy to adopt any rules that helps staff and patrons alike stay safe. :-) G
