That is interesting.
In 19 yrs on neo I've never seen anything but Oneg given.
Just discussing it with a colleague. We're thinking that maybe they cross match more on a chdrens wards so could be used for babies there.
But you all can aimlike 😄G that you save 8-10 babies lives each time.

Finally given blood after a few years break although had to wait an hour after my appointment time given internet issues (one of the downsides of living in N Wales!?). At least I know my blood group again (B negative). Unable to book next appointment there given internet issue

I've been notified that the blood I donated last Monday "has now been issued to Yeovil District Hospital". 147 miles from where I donated it.
That would be a lot of Conquercise zones
