Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Not good at all @Ally-C 😕

Spaghetti, Linguine and co. By the time I've wound it all onto my fork it has gone cold.

I wish. I don't have sole control of the radio alarm, though!

My love of 6Music is being tested by the installation of utter throbber Nick Grimshaw in the breakfast slot.

I agree Fitz.

Lauren had an easy manner about her, and Nemone has been easy to listen to over the last few weeks.

Nick Grimshaw talks too much and is too 'in your face' for early morning shows.

the latest Amazon advert on the tellybox, where the Urban Yoof moves with his mother to a house by the sea, but seems utterly unable to comprehend that skateboards don't work on sand. And presumably there isn't a single bit of hard surface in the whole area on which he can skateboard.

Yeah me too. But the one with the caretaker/singer is worse.

TV adverts in general wind me up. I had the same thought about the Amazon one.

[It's also somewhat ironic given that the origins of skateboarding lie in surfing. I guess the people who created the ad are too young to be aware of this.]

On adverts; the fact that we went from free TV with ads to having the ability to record TV and fast forward ads, to streaming with the ability to watch anything anytime for a fee with no ads... to having to pay for streaming WITH ads that CANNOT be skipped... ie, what we had in the beginning.
