Yes, +1 from me - especially as I am a very swift walker and when I've got my headphones on I can't help doing a sigh of exasperation at the people clogging up the way. And it's probably not that subtle. Luckily I hare off before I get lamped...

The use of "passed" instead of "died". The other one that we get a lot on the local Farcebook group is "there's a deceased cat on xxx Lane". It's a dead cat and saying it's deceased doesn't make it less sad. |

['E's passed on! This cat is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-CAT!!] (Adapted from messers Monty Python) |

+1 more, XB. Even worse when it's in writing, and it's spelled "past" instead of "passed"! Where exactly do they think these people have passed to? I think it's a part of our society's general reluctance to accept death as being the normal end of life, and it's possibly unthinkingly hypocritical/offensive in many cases given the levels of atheistic belief too! |
