I got so distracted by the smart trainer I forgot about the other two packages from wiggle that arrived just after it - new tyres for the road bike, a colourful new shock absorber ultimate run bra, and a replacement zone 3 dry bag/safety buoy.

A host of excitement there, Raemond :-)

Minty fresh, Bish ;-)

A felicitous visit to a Nike Outlet saw me leave with two pairs of Air Zoom Structure 21. (I was wearing my now somewhat battered Shield Structure 21s at the time.) Reduced from £104.95 TO £72, stuck on the 50% off wall, then marked down further to £49.95.

Two pairs for under £50 total!!! Quite pleased.

Pair of Nike dri-fit 3/4 tights from eBay, brand new for £14. I never buy Nike kit, but for some reason all the major manufacturers have stopped making blokes 3/4s so choice was limited and I was desperate - the arse is falling out of the couple of pairs I have :-(

I bought some Under Armour 3/4 recently. They are compressiony and quite thin but a good fit. I might wear them tonight for the first time

Well, this is the thing: I wear 3/4s in cold weather so I didn't want quite thin, I want something that will keep my legs warm and accomodate a pair of Paramo pants underneath. The Gore ones I've had for years are brilliant, but there's more holes in them than a Swiss cheese.

NB: to those who might be wondering, fell-runners wear 3/4s because normal tights tend to get wet/mucked up around the ankles and end up being an irritation.

Having ended up off the beaten track and then spent the evening picking bits of conifer and heather out of the stitching on the seams at the bottoms of my leggings, I totally understand.

I remortgaged the house and bought some Sweaty Betty reflective leggings. I do love them, quite a funky design and added safety. Thankfully I found a 20% discount code and they have a 3 payment plan so husband need never know how much they were (hahaha) I have bought so many leggings lately it is beyond ridiculous but as a runner and doing a fair few workouts I do need them = right?

Also my LEJOG finishers tshirt arrived in the post today at least that has no associated cost as I paid for the entry some time ago.

They do seem good quality. Bobs used to get a lot of Nike kit in the past and said it was always good quality stuff.

GG - don't talk to me about flipping Sweaty Betty, there is one in town and Bobs and our mate Emma practically camp out on the doorstep. She moans about me spending 14 quid on a pair of kecks from eBay then the pair of them run up what amounts to a Third World national debt in SB. I wonder if there is a Sweaty Betty Addicts Support Group?
