Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

In my defence, the Flanci kit is for everyone else but me. I only hit-up Armadillo because I was feeling left out of my own spree! 😂

Reminds me of a guy I know who was in the middle of a divorce when his (then) wife emptied their bank account for a boob job. In revenge he went out and bought a Breitling watch. He forever referred to the exotic timepiece as his "tits" :-)

Am I going to hell for this one? I expect so.

Shame on you for thinking that of me Ros, I'm appalled. I would never buy a fecking Breitling.

As it happens, there IS an element of truth in that slanderous allegation - my ex-wife would never let me buy a Rolex Submariner or Omega Seamaster (the 007 one) and they were sort of de rigueur in the world I lived in at the time, particularly as they were so luminous they set the geiger counters off :-) As soon as the ink was dry on the decree nisi I marched into a Portsmouth jewellers with a stack of tenners and bought one. Petty I know ....

I wondered how you would respond -

- baby brother picked up a Submariner for literally a couple of pounds from a car boot sale, but he wears dad's 1950s vintage simple Omega.

Submariners command serious money. I knew someone who had the MOD-issue version with the tritium batons, I think he sold it and bought a Porsche. Old Omegas are v. classy.

And to think my eyes nearly fell out of my head when the Garmin Marq range came out :-O
Now that I think of it, eL Bee! is muttering about replacing his Edge 820 with something top of the range. For mountain biking, in the mud :-O
