Left garmin charging cable at work. Garmin is low on battery and I’m not back at work until tomorrow!

The long course weekend I was planning to use as a staging post on my build up to a second attempt at the half iron at Almere on September 10 has been moved to... The weekend immediately after.

Because of course, after (hopefully) completing the main event I will definitely be in a great place to repeat each of the elements separately a week later.

I spent ten minutes or so putting my driving licence renewal details into what turned out to be one of those scam websites. It was only a minor disaster because I realised it was one of those scam websites before I handed over £55.

Dentist appointment cancelled with 1 hours notice as they have covid. Hopefully shes not too seriously unwell.

Unfortunately for me my dentist is 200 miles from my house so I’ve incurred travel and hotel costs which are gone, as well as a morning of flexi time. I don’t want to have to use a private dentist but wondering now if I have much alternative

[I think from a convenience perspective certainly. It’s along a route I can take to see family and friends, but this is the third time I’ve had an appointment moved in the last year, and what with the spiralling petrol costs too]

I discovered this morning, at home in NL, that I had left my work laptop in Brussels.
I was ill and rushing to get a train, and forgot to take it out of one bag and put it into the other that I brought home.

No bother, I can access work email and messenger on my work phone, I'll just get the train back to Brussels a bit early, and can work, if only in a limited fashion, while I do.

Work phone is a crappy iPhone 7 with the battery life of a defective may fly and flashing warnings before I even leave the house, but still no bother, because I know this I always carry a power brick and charging cable.

Except I forgot to recharge the power brick after using it to keep the damned phone alive on the train home on Friday.

So now I'm on a train with no way of doing any work until I get back to my laptop.

It's only a minor disaster as the last thing I read before the phone died was that the visit from Whitehall folks on Wednesday that I've been frantically trying to confirm the logistics of might be cancelled anyway, so I'm saving myself the headache of trying to keep up with each contradictory email. Hopefully by the time can log in again they'll have come to some sort of decision.
