The BG 😀
Best memory, apart from the dash to the Moot Hall would be the end of leg 3. Just over 40 miles in and after being revived by a bit of chocolate I buggered off from my support crew as quickly as I could to get into Wasdale completely off my face on endorphins.

I've already done mine, but if I extended it to the most memorable that didn't involve me it would be this photo from the Nomad Ultra in 2019, at the finish in Breaston, between Derby and Nottingham.

There was the first time I ran the school cross-country course of two miles without stopping.... An achievement scarcely repeated.
Or the time I was allowed to set out early on the three mile course and felt as if I was sprinting round. That never happened again.

Just making a Brew and spotted a mug dated 2002
My first every XC - It was horrid, freezing cold, concrete mud as frozen solid and I finished to be given this mug! How daft I thought it's 1/2m to the race HQ and you give me a bloody mug Next stop homemade soup was added to that bloody mug- OMG I loved that mug!
My first 5K - inaugural (and only!) Theale 5K dead last beaten by a 5yr old and his dad but BIGGEST high as I had finished! Waked home and entered Reading Half .... finished that, goal time 3hrs actual time 2:59! OMG a HUGE High. Got home and entered LM cos no one ever gets in 1st time!
I got in 1st time ... panic entered Abingdon Mara. Finished last to a huge cheer by RW folk who presented me with a bottle of wine.
I've been officially last at every distance I have ever entered (ultra events excluded) and almost every single one I have crossed the line with a humungous grin on my face buzzing at the feeling of being alive.

indeed after that first 5K I felt invincible!
Runners high is an understatement I was beaming for ear to ear all the way home looking like a demented idiot grinning to myself muttering!
