The Great Raemondo
One of the games teachers decided to my year 5 class a dance to surfing USA, and all the words.
I can still remember the action that went with that line (it was a lot like the twist, including raising one foot and shaking it).

[Tory, then independent, then DUP. Quit Tories over his opposition to the peace process.

"Mr Hunter's political rivals did not mince their words. "I've spoken to that man once. His politics are so obnoxious, I can't work with him," said Sean Keating, leader of the Labour group on the council."

MP for nine years before taking the Enoch Powell route. Does not seem to have been a particularly active presence in the constituency.]

How close my old house in or around Crouch End actually is to Finsbury Park Tube. Probably no more than 20 mins' walk.

Crouch End is unsullied by Underground Lines, so I used to have to get a bus to get anywhere. Usually to Finsbury Park. To be fair, buses were every 5-7 minutes from my front garden, so I probably wouldn't have thought of walking as an option.

In those days, there were bus zones and I think Crouch End was in 3, so I could have saved myself a small wedge every month.

Although to be fair, I did cycle to University and back when the weather permitted, and when the money ran out, thus often avoiding putting any money in Mr Livingstone's coffers.

[Crouch End was 'home' to Jamie, a wild eyed hippie, who mended my BSA 250 in the hallway in 1972. He sold it without telling me and I tracked down the buyer to a squat in Twickenham. The bobbies had retrieved the bike in the meantime.]

My chief super lives there. Claims to be walking distance of White Hart Lane but I think that’s stretching the definition.
