that on my Android phone I can say via the Google Assistant thingy "Alexa, what's the time?" and Alexa will answer because Google directs my request to the Alexa website.

[i see no particular use for this, but it's a thing!]

[Gordon G - but if you say "OK Google, What's the time?" your phone will answer won't it? Goes off to try the Alexa thing on phone ;-)].

That St Peter's Way is a 45-mile walk (or run!) from Ongar to Bradwell in Essex.

[Files it away, with a collection of other long-distance routes I'll never get around to running. See also LOOP, Capital Ring...]

Not to be confused with the Essex Way that goes from Epping to Harwich.

St Peter's Way is a pilgrim trail - St Cedd and all that.

That you can join a zoom call from a landline. No excuse for not knowing - had just never bothered to consider it until someone asked me the question and I trawled through the settings and help info.

That Lincoln Cathedral spire was the tallest manmade structure ever built from 1311 until the late 19th century. Even though it collapsed in 1549.
