My first motor vehicle - half shares with a mate at school - was a 1950 Triumph Thunderbird 650cc motorcycle combination. We were both 16 and scraped £50 together for it.
Its reg. no. was DES 818. If I'd thought on, it could have fetched a few bob as a 'cherished' registration...

I used to give motorbikes and cars names.. just seemed to stop doing it. I guess they don't have personalities anymore
We now have the Toyota and the Polo. I think the Toyota is the least engaging driving experience I've ever come across, GC calls it Betsy. This mildly perplexes me.
