(That would be sugar too. The balance is likely water, or something vile like glycerin).

That some rail stations sell rail tickets that are only valid on certain companies trains (e.g. ticket only valid on virgin trains or North western trains)

Living on the Paddington line I had not experienced this before. Its quite silly. So yesterday we had to stand back and not board a train to/from Rugby and to/from Birmingham as they weren't Virgin trains. How archaic.

They have to share the fare with their competitors if the ticket isn't marked for one company only.

Here we have the stupid situation that one company trades under three names and still issues tickets valid only on one name. I understand that the legality of that still has to be tried in court.

[Placebo did a whole album of covers as a bonus CD with "Sleeping with Ghosts." Some work better than others - Bigmouth Strikes Again being my fave]

There is a Heath Robinson museum.

"For students of illustration, lovers of landscape paintings, advertising enthusiasts and academics, dads building contraptions in sheds, believers in fairies, children with time to dream, couples stuck in tiny flats, people who put holes in cheese, artificial teeth testers and anyone who’s ever held something together with a bit of string."
