There's a sort of raised chalk ridge that separates the fenland to the west from the chalk heathland leading up to Newmarket. Also the impressive Anglo-Saxon Devil's Dyke is close by. One of the churches is/was dedicated to the saints Cyricus and Julitta - pretty unusual as they were much more of a Celtic church thing. You can now camp in it, I believe, as it is no longer used as a church.
