That if you eat a poppy seed bagel it can show up as opiates in a blood test for up to 48 hours afterwards (a friend's husband works in the construction industry and somebody he works with had a real problem because of this)

I didn't know that either, PaulaMc :O I thought the poppy seeds were only there as decoration and intestinal transit time markers.
I'm guessing it'll be more of a problem if you're one of those people who has been brought up to chew each mouthful of food 100 times before swallowing it.
