Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds etc), pretty cool I'd say.

Alan Minter, Kevin Muscat, Craig Pickering, Rebecca Cooke, the journalist Simon Calder and the rock band "The Cure" all born in the same place as me.
Anyone fancy a guess?

Indeedy. I met Alan Minter once, my Dad had wangled him as a special guest at some kind of event he was organising. Being only three I had no idea who he was and wasn't particularly excited to meet him.

Dame Kelly Holmes! According to Wikipedia - I wonder if she realises I was born there too.

No-one anyone outside Germany would know apart from perhaps Niklas Luhmann. That's the town where I was born and lived for the first few months only though.
Town where I grew up really didn't produce anyone even vaguely 'well-known' anywhere beyond the county borders.
