Because of this thread and my curiousity I have today learned that I was born in the same place as the person who won the French Open in 1976 and reached the semi-finals at Wimbldeon in 1977.
Any guesses?
Oh I have also learned today that I cannot make the sound a cuckoo makes. Yep, busy day here in the office today.

As I've learnt today from Wikipedia: "Wind direction is reported by the direction from which it originates. For example, a northerly wind blows from the north to the south." I'd always assumed a northerly wind blew in a northerly direction, not from the north.

I didn't know about Mark Beeney. Yes. I was born there; we lived about 20 miles further south near Uckfield. Some of my family still do.
