work out when is best for you. For me, it's first thing in the morning, before I've had a chance to complain

Welcome pjw, lots of places to ask questions all through this site. Me? I run when I fancy it and if I don't, then I try to give myself a treat - somewhere easy or somewhere pretty or run with a friend. More carrot than stick for me! G

Welcome pjw and to answer your question, I have no idea. I’m retired and still often don’t seem to have time to run!

Hi pjw, welcome to Fetch. I'm returning from injury too. I run in the morning when I get up but that's not early as I work late. Finding some mojo is my current problem alongside not inflaming my PF. Thanks for the reminder HappyG I'm off to change my name too. |

I like to run in the morning! I started with 5km and just built up slowly, once I could run 5km I did a 10k race, then half marathon then full marathon. Start small and see where it takes you!

Thanks for all of your comments and ideas. A combination of self-discipline and being kind to yourself seems to be the way forward!

Also run walk is great when you first start back. Or even if you’ve been running for years really. Makes it more enjoyable for me! Plus music, podcasts, taking photos, running with friends, running in scenic places. Whatever works to help you enjoy yourself

Not so new anymore, but I have a question. Why doesn’t I have that swipeable band of times on different distances on my profile page, is it because I don’t enter any races? |
