No doubt they had to get it up and running and making sure it worked and figured (wrongly) people wouldn't be hitting refresh every 5s to see if it was open yet.

Nearly 15 mins so far and it's just about loaded the pics. Did crash out the first time I tried the entry button before the pics loaded fully.

Slightly concerned about the part of the site that I can see through Google that says "All runners will need to attend the London Marathon Expo in April 2010 to register ..." Wtf????

I cant get any further than confirming I am a UK resident.
Can't understand why they limit the number of entries at this stage?
Why not just let everyone who wants to put their name in the hat do so, then hold the ballot?
It's like a ballot to enter the ballot!
