Kong in Keswick have been doing some that are actual routes but open to be run any time over a three week period. They're logged on an app to sort the leaderboard out. Each are £2 to enter and everyone gets a voucher for the shop, as the current one starts and ends at the shop you get a drink and cake at the end which is more than the entry fee. Current one finishes this weekend and then there's one more left, presume they may do the same for the winter races depending on restrictions at the time? kongadventure.com |

Lizzie - do you mean for Hadrian's Wall? Every virtual platform has its own idiosyncrasies, but ultimately I think any app needs to be able to "see" your activities if it is to collate them and turn them into a distance automatically. The Conqueror Hadrian's Wall challenge actually uses an app called MyVirtualMission which you have to download once you have registered with Conqueror. Their FAQs say this: "Here are some However, if you don't want to do that, you could still join the mission and upload each day's mileage manually. (That's what everyone on the virtual LEJOG and WCP events, with a different organiser, does anyway). It really depends on how you balance privacy against convenience. |

Also from the MVM FAQs: "You can post distances to your mission in 3 ways 1. Using the mobile app - Tap the "progress" tab at the bottom of the screen and enter your distance. 2. On the web at www.myvirtualmission.com. Log in and enter your distance just below the map on your mission page. 3. Via Fitbit, Please note that the mission does need to be "launched" in order to post distances to it." |
