I can't see Trump winning, but I too thought we would not vote Brexit, but that was a straight vote. However, you system will save you.

I really think that a great many politicians are fine people and go into politics, local or national with the best of intentions. Trump is not one of those, he is just self serving, which is different from being a career politician. Careerists have their place, I can't see how a modern government would work without them.

We should also not forget the place, as usual, the media plays in all this, all of of politics is now damage limitation because of how the media works. It doesn't want to portray policy of what people stand for, or decisions they might make, it wants a 'story', if possible a salacious, nasty story.

The BBC is hardly better, they are hamstrung by the idea they have to be even handed and rarely, therefore say it like it is....

The last four years in the US has really left me jaded over politics. I once felt our government had the USA's best in mind I know longer believe that. The majority of Americans live in a soundbyte world. Allowing the media to sway them 15 sec at a time or with clever facebook, instagram,or twitter postings. It's sad to say but it's what I believe to be true

I think most of the recent losing candidates would have beaten Trump / Clinton (delete as appropriate). In fact if there was a more credible Republican candidate they would probably beat Clinton, and vice versa if it wasn't Clinton opposing trump.

The candidates delivery at the debates and rallies remind me of watching the mike-spots in a WWE wrestling event.

Remains to be seen whether it will be the giant douche or the turd Sandwich.

Luckily, I think Hillary Clinton will actually be good. I'd have preferred Bernie Saunders. But Hillary, first woman president, Democrat is better than "least worst", she'll be good, imho. :-) G

In which case, at which point will Steve Austin come out on a milk truck and give Donald Trump the stunner?

Without mentioning emails (cos I don't think it's that big a deal) can anyone tell me what's wrong with Hillary? What bad stuff has she done? And more importantly, of her policies (remember those? Things wot politics was about, before it just became about personalities and pinups?) which are bad, in your opinion.

I think Democrats in general and Hillary Clinton in particular - For: ProChoice,, Equality Act 2015, Sexual Orientation and Transgender Equality, same sex marriage, asylum for Syrian war refugees, Iran nuclear deal.

I don't like: she is pro capital punishment, no extension of social and health care, and no free tuition at public college, enlargement of nato, drone strikes (but even Bernie seemed to support that one?).

But that is not a bad crop of policies?
