Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I thought the numbers walls were good, although I didn't spot the squares.
Connections? Some easy ones, some horrible?

I'd have gone for the Schulz one straight away (ie after 2) - or is that just an age thing?
And also the Where's Wally (because the wording was so odd) after 2.

And the super caley go ballistic celtic are atrocious

Although my immature pleasure at the result was probably as bad a reaction as the desultory clapping.

Some critique on twitter. Alex's response is
I was, and indeed am, gracious to (and delighted for!) the winners. That’s literally the last sentence of my tweet above. I also was, and remain, disappointed to lose a fairly close match. I make no apology for showing disappointment under pressure.

Hopefully I've not disclosed the results with that.

Fortunately not too much outright abuse on Alex's twitter (though obvs there is some). I didn't warm to Alex at all, but I'm glad mainstream (!) quiz shows aren't afraid to put characters like Alex on TV these days, so on balance all good.

Numbers. Amazeballs. Recognising the dates was quite something.

Very good.

The captain's clapping from the team was indeed poor. At least it seemed so.

I wondered if Alex was in tears so didn't want to look up because of that? I did find the gestures too much, but they were a very good team.
