Tough luck DT I met Sam Amend on the TP100 at a night CP. She grabbed my bottles and filled them even though she probably shouldn’t have. I cheer her on a bit more as a result. I think she is also over 40 or possibly 50 too |

thepowerof10.info Sam likes to race.. She ran the Centurion Track 100M in 14:10:41 - not bad tune up. |

Seen that Macca stopped with hamstring issues just after MK, hopefully nothing too serious.

Congratulations runhammyrun huge well done. Sam is 42, she is also a single mum of 2, works full time, she was talking about her training tegime and fitting it in with her son who now plays football, my cousins kid is a football player and I know how much time that takes up to get to training, fixtures etc can’t comprehend how those at the top of their ultra game do it. Super human. Link to podcast podcasts.apple.com of anyone is interested. |

Not my day or was it night at GUCR but some amazing performances, particularly SA. I think I understand now why this is such an iconic race. After two months written off with covid induced hamstring issues 86 miles without doing any damage is a decent result but as I type, with 7hrs until final cut off I sit here wondering if there might have been a little bit more. |

Tough one, Macca However you could have carried on and ruined the rest of the year, especially with covid in the mix. You’ve not had a great spring, that’s a very fine effort considering. |

Macca to do what you’ve done is phenomenal, hindsight is a great thing but it’s important not to cause more damage and for that it was a sensible decision. I have to confess I have felt tempted by this in past knowing there was no chance. But with what I’m doing now and what I’m thinking is maybe it’s worth a try…. Not for a few years I suspect. |
