there isn't the usual info one would expect from opentracking with checkpoints etc - nor is there a list of finishers. I think the trackers were an optional add-on, for people who wanted their family to follow them - rather than having any real race info on them

Oh I see. Actually yes, I think you have to pay £30 for a tracker in Threshold events.

To be fair the Cheviot Goat is a bloody good/tough race. Significantly the hardest 50-ish miler I've ever run.

But don't disagree that the pricing is extortionate but with the clientele that Ultras attract it is not an issue. They will still sell out.
