Glenners bring and share lunch today. #pray4glenners We expect photos of the mighty spread, and tales of how it will improve office morale and productivity immeasurably. |

I sprint Tri-d yesterday. Local evening hit out 400m/16k/4.5k. Forgot how these things sting, you can pack a fair slug of hurt into 57 minutes, especially when it’s a grassy trail run. 12th o/a and AG vulgarity. |

It’s a great post Rae. Sue’s at her mum’s yesterday and today. The temptation to vegetate is huge. Just the five episodes of Grey’s Anatomy yesterday. Hoping to keep it below that today. [rewatch now early season 10 - |

Mmm beige buffet food - lucky Glenn I'm about to go and lead a 5 mile off road run on a route I've not run for several years and which I've only partially recce'd. What could possibly go wrong. |

Nods emphatically at Rae. I realise that 1. I am lucky and my place of work (and current manager) are pretty good at respecting and supporting people's needs. 2. It's really taking me a long time to figure out what balance of people and NOT PEOPLE I prefer but I look forward to my one day a week in the office. A bit more would be nice but then there's dogs to mind and commuting to not do. My thing now is having a few "meetings" booked a week to natter to colleagues I get on well with. The other good thing about the office is supplier freebies - not sure we're going to beat last weeks Sipsmith G+T... ION, Physio visited. Problem is lower back, exercises to do. Running off, swimming and cycling ok. Onwards! |

Thanks all. You've just reminded me, JC, one thing I do miss from the FCDO was parties at the residence, with highly trained Prosecco ninjas ensuring no glass ever runs dry. |

21 We survived my navigation despite ignoring what my watch was telling me; I'm assured by the group that they didn't mind being taken down a very nettle-infested path when the correct route would have been sting-free. |
