I have only been in my new job since the beginning of November, and I mostly like it, no applying here! The job sounds interesting Rae, good luck, and good luck all applicants.

I have no intention of ever applying for a job again. Unless I have to come out of retirement for some awful reason. Good luck to all the job hunters and new starters.
I've lifted some dumbbells this afternoon and done a short run.

Well done all - the commute was a joy. And I spent all day playing computer games.

I didn't apply for a new job, I was given one. Taking over as interim head of finance at the University library tomorrow.

It's 10 years since I gave up work and I am finding myself looking at part-time job adverts and thinking 'Maybe...' But then I remember that I live in two places, 'need' to run at least three times a week in daylight, and swim in the open air, also ideally in daylight, so the job hours would have to be not so much part-time as 'when I can be bothered'.

I mostly enjoy my job but i get frustrated by the constant turnover of staff (I’ve trained 10 technicians in the last 3 years 🙄) ans the blaxk of physical space we have to work in. Applied for a similar job at the Uni, not 100% my area of expertise, but a new challenge would be good. Current department would fall apart if I left - that’s not me being smug, but if you can’t pay enough to keep well trained staff then you end up with a knowledge vacuum 🤷♀️

…not so much part-time as 'when I can be bothered’. I’m dreaming of that day. Thought I had it nailed a couple of years ago but was a wee bit premature in my celebrations!

I don't dream of retirement or being part time.
Maybe rather do a job I truly love
