Hardly slept last night as brain decided to run through all 48 hours of the Outlaw weekend (no wonder I am exhausted!) I'm now wondering if I need to buy more gels whilst husband is at work and can't complain about "another!" delivery!

Will there be some provided on the course. When I did Chester Marathon, I only carried four or five because I knew gels would be provided along the way. Is it just the bike section you need to be carrying them for?
(Please excuse if this is a daft question.)

no not daft at all Ness
There is high 5 everywhere but I am useless at opening the packets so wanted to add to a gel flask! I'm also use Kendal choc mint gels for variety I'm hoping to stop at feed stations as little as possible as timing will be tight

The road surface at Wimbleball is pretty dire now so descending on the aero bars would require big cahoonas.
Rode a short 53 25TT Saturday then the Staffs bike course Sunday, the first 7-8 miles will either need a CX bike or patience. The run course is flat, apart from the really long drag up to the castle🤮
I think it means you really care about racing pix, always looking to go faster ☺️

That makes sense now. I managed ok with the sis ones because they’re fairly easy to open. I made sure I got plenty of practice taking them during my long runs but could still only manage a gel every 20 minutes or so. Would imagine you’re going to be using more than that.

The kendal ones open really easy but I struggle with high 5 and I can't use teeth as that makes me gag and teeth set on edge!
I'm aiming for 500ml of energy drink and 1 gel (ideally 2) an hour Ness I may swap to electrolyte drink occasionally but I am not sure if it's an option this time without making it up myself
MT - I'm going to be using every minute of the 17hrs and with a 1/2m transition I need to save every second I can
