Got your moneys worth out of that one Glenda.
I've washed my bike and cleaned the chain.

Great training, Pix. 👍
Today is meant to be my rest day but will probably be picking up some heavy metal objects and then putting them down again later. Won’t mention that here again if it’s not the done thing? 😜 #excusethenewbietothethread!

Picking stuff up and putting it down again is known as 'vanity training' in these parts (I think)
I've done a race. I massively ballsed up the swim. Dunno what happened really but couldn't get my breathing right until the second lap. Once I was in a rhythm it was great. I hate it when that happens, I reckon it cost me about 3 or 4 minutes. The ride was good though. Then it's the wrong time of the month for me to run fast but to be fair my thighs were shot from the ride so I'm not sure I'd have managed much quicker anyway.
2.56 for an Olympic though is decent enough. About 10 minutes off what I used to be able to do which I think is OK for where I am at the moment

BDP.
I done bricked. Much, much, better than last week - remembered to drink on the bike, found my gloves and was conscious of adjusting grip and wiggling fingers so didn't get significant pins and needles until about 3/4 of the way in, felt fine as I did my pseudo transition, first k of the run felt like dogshit but was actually a fine time for me.
I know my run fitness isn't where it needs to be, so after that first k I decided to do a 200/800 walk run split, which left me feeling not totally dead by the end of just over 5k. If I'd had fluids with me I felt like I could have gone on longer, which was pretty encouraging.
Then furious last minute cleaning of Everything as one of Sam's work running friends is coming round to run some trails with him this afternoon.
Because I am very keen to encourage both him having friends, and then introducing them to me, I suggested she should bring some non runny clothes and a wash bag too, and we could all pop round the corner to the pub when they're done.
But, of course, that means making the bathroom fit for human use. I hate soap scum.

I'd be happy with those numbers in a fortnight, Catters
Shame about the swim, but well done for not letting it bog you down for the rest of the race.
