Nothing obscure, just a persistent puncture that has reoccurred despite new tube, checking tyre for thorns, etc. And it's rear wheel, of course. And it needs a service.

Check the rim and actual rim tape, look at the spokes poking out from the rim. Sometimes the puncture comes from within.

Also, being down in North Devon I decided to ride an easy lap of the Wimbleball bike course, what a stupid brutal race that was. I miss it and it owes me 🤷‍♂️

There seems to be a lot of Wimbleball nostalgia around at the moment. One of the Pauls - B I think - rode the bike course recently.

[for newcomers- in the early days we had two Paul’s, P and D - good athletes both, and at least one of them was a Bloody Nice Bloke - they’ve moved on but both have lifetime legend status in the hotel. There’s a couple of busts in the lobby if you look to the ends of the reception desk]

Both Paul’s were bloody nice blokes and bloody good athletes.

Hopefully I’ll be running into Paul B at the National 100TT, Paul D was at the 50 I did recently but due to social distancing our paths didn’t cross.

Wimbleball was a thing of dark harsh beauty……
