Read the blog Llammers. Good jawb. And keep one eye on the campaign not just the first skirmish.

Afternoon all.
75 miles on the bike done and dusted. Hot and hilly and epically good fun.

AA - good stuff Sweetie and Gobi 14 miles cycled outside with Mr Frag this morning, and so far the foot of doom is not complaining
I have now orthotics which I'm gradually getting used to and *hangs head in shame* I have ordered some FitFlops as recommended by the podiatrist, as they're more cushioned than the birkenstocks I tend to live in in hot weather. I have no faith in their claims of 'micro wobble' technology miraculously toning my legs/making me lose weight, etc etc
He's also suggested HOKA's when I get bad to running as they have the max cushioning - anyone any experience with them ??

Yes fraggle, me. They’re fine, although they feel a bit weird at first. It was the Clifton I went for.
Fenners has used them a lot. Perhaps he will show up.

Ran a 4:29.6 1500m easing down as I was racing for position (track league) not time for a 0.9 sec PB. I had no idea what time I was running as focused on the race for position, was third B counter and with 1300 to go I was in position to strike for second, unfortunately legs didn't respond and gap opened a little at from there to 1400m and my sprint wasn't making an impact so shut down (pace chart clearly shows the shut down). Guy in front ran 4:24 so in a sense it's exciting to know I was there with 1300 to go.
30 mins later 17:35.6 for 5000m, plan was 84s for 17:30. Was lonely and warm and hard in the middle. As I was guesting and just doing it for training, I did think what's the point at some points, lol. But held it together and finished well. Took splits as was not racing so will post up later.

Thanks Glenn, very happy with that as a season opener.
1300 to go should say 200 to go 😂

I did some gentle biking, followed by some even more gentle gardening, over the weekend, but seems it was enough to upset the healing process. Damned cobblestones (or, as it may be, dahlias).
Back on the bench for me for a few more days
It was perfectly glorious for getting out into the open water this weekend as well, and next weekend isn't supposed to be nearly as good. No fair.
