I keep hearing that easy running should be the bulk of what we do. Is this true? also from a thread on slowtwitch easy running was stated as the number one thing to do to stop getting injured.
What is easy running? how do we define it?

Less than 70% of working heart rate, or 75% of maximum if you prefer. Three minutes per mile slower that 5k pace if you're not a HR person.

glenn - no basically
easy is not steady
I spend a lot of time in zone 1
checked and of 183 sessions 132 of mine have had an avg hr below 55% true zone 1 easy
zone 2 or steady 65 % 19 sessions
zone Gray area training zone of the average and under achievers who are tired (65 to 75% ) 3 sessions
dont get me wrong I do work in zone 3 but it is not where to train.
Now I know I can run 8mm for barely 55% so ignore my ultra low but sub 65% and build endurance
