Okra. I have tried, but even I draw the line at okra. Food should not be snotty.

Keep okra dry. Do not wash. Slice and fry in a wok. Great stuff

Spinach is another one...
Love cabbage (red, green and white), kale, Cavolo Nero is to die for, Swiss Chard, everything in fact, apart from spinach. It's ok raw in salads, but really, really struggle with converting 6 cubic yards of foliage into one teaspoon of soggy green.

Aubergines are detestable contemptible filth; almost Rhubarb-esque in their pointlessness.

I’m not a fan of traditional steamed or boiled veg in typical British style but spinach, aubergine, okra etc are all fantastic in curries

Now, I like spinach cooked (in curries etc) but I detest the way it sticks to the inside of your mouth and coats your teeth when it's raw in salads. And it annoys me when you take the easy option and buy a bag of ready-to-eat salad leaves and its always called something exotic and attractive but ends up being 40% spinach.
