Supermarket pre packed plastic trays are usually in 6's (10 or 12 for chipolatas), The "so called" premium pre packed plastic trays are also in 6's. Go to your local butchers, he will sell you as many as you want.

I would like to think that is because it is the exact number we need (3 for me, 2 for Mrs. CW and 1.5 each for the kids) but it's probably because there is only 8 in the packet.
