I guarantee that, if cooked correctly, that recipe would have no actual taste of rhubarb.
It’s only listed as an ingredient to make it sound edgy and modern and different.

I have to stand up for runner beans - homegrown, picked young and cooked as soon as they are picked they are lovely! I'm so looking forward to mine being ready, a plate of runner beans covered in a good rich ragu - lovely

Yeah but Nic I could drench my kitchen in half a bottle of Kouros and it would smell nice but it still wouldn’t make me want to eat Rhubarb.
To be fair it wouldn’t make me want to drink Kouros either....

Fair enough. The world would be a pretty dull place if we were all the same. More rhubarb and aubergines for me.
Where does the room stand on liver? I luuuuuuurve liver, but the female two thirds of the household hate it. It's a rare treat. (in both senses of the word).

Spargelsaison. Whoppers! Eaten with hollandaise, boiled potatoes and a sprinkle of fresh herbs. And possibly ham, if you're that type.
Rhubarb just never came on this year. I like rhubarb. Disappointed. Though I have a new variety growing quite well in a pot (raspberry rhubarb), so, hopefully next year.
