I will start
Last night I had a dream within a dream. I dreamt that I had a dream about being on holiday in Dubai and I was on a boat going there and the sea was a beautiful colour of blue. The sun was shining and it was warm and I was happy
Lovely
Then I dreamt about going to buy salmon fillets in the pouring rain whilst carrying a 2ft pink flower

There are people replacing our windows today. i dreamt there were four of them, dressed in brightest red overalls, one of them a dwarf, and the one in charge clearly fancying himself as a comedian with the other trained to support him.
In fact there are two ordinary men, in black overalls.

That sounds like a lovely dream liking the 2ft pink flower.
Unfortunately I don't tend to remember happy dreams  The last 'dream' I had was very scary & is still clear in my head which is awful. About 4yrs ago I had a horrific recurring 'dream' & still vivid not good

I had a dream a couple of nights ago that the consultant who I've been seeing for my stress fracture, had done an operation on my cat and cured her deafness. The cat then told me 'I can hear!'
In reality, said cat has just had an op on her eyes. I guess my brain just put the two things together. I quite often dream that my parents are still alive, although bizarrely they never 'appear' together in the same dream.
GeordieGirl your dream sounds horrible. Hope it stays away.

I had a horrid one and a weird one last night. First one was that I discovered my husband had been shagging my sister for years. I'd got suspicious and followed him on his way to "work" when he actually went to my sisters at 7.30am! It was like an episode of "Cheaters." I woke up really angry and it took ages to get back off and then when I did I dreamt two of my fingernails were so soft they kept bending back on themselves when I did anything. I woke up feeling mildly sick! Bit of a broken night last night!

Okay...
I dreamed last night that I died. It took quite a long time and was more than a little unpleasant. There's nothing quite like wanting to breath and not being able to. The feeling of your last heartbeat is quite poignant, especially when you know it's your last one.
So, then I resurrected myself with an almighty, excruciating intake of breath to find a note I'd written for myself which I didn't remember writing. Lots of fractured images after that which left me feeling anxious and slightly depressed when I woke in the morning.

I had a dream many years ago in which I "died", which has always stayed with me. It was a much more peaceful experience than Rich's one. I was sitting on a chair in a beautiful garden and I was aware of all my bodily processes slowing down, but it wasn't unpleasant. Then someone (I don't know who) appeared in front of me and said something like "the transition may be painful, but don't worry". Then I thought I had woken up in my bed, and something black, like a bat, flew away from me and out of the window (no idea what that bit was about). Then I woke up properly.
I actually found this dream quite calming and reassuring.

I had one like that a few weeks back FF. I dreamt that I was asleep, dreaming. That really messed me up when I woke up! I wasn't sure if I was dreaming that I'd awoke in the dream or if I really was awake. I had to ask my dad if he was real!

I had a weird dream this morning, about a beaver in a catsuit!
I was a conservation volunteer, and we were looking after beavers. For some reason, I was carrying around a baby beaver and it was wearing a 'cat' babygro, one with a hood and little kitten ears - I woke up with the phrase "a beaver in a catsuit" in my head. No idea where that one came from.
