Great post MH. And v useful for many. 😄👍

As I noted after day one with my Big Revelation- hands slightly forward is my default position. Not wrong ‘exactly’ as MH points out, but for me it will be useful to weight bear through the wrists ( also endorsed by MH 😄) because it’s exactly what I need for blocks in the uncomfortable ‘set’ position.

Pick the position that suits you and your aims* . Big learning curve for everyone already. Hurrah!

* but don’t necessarily go for easiest option.

:-)

[I have to admit that I'm also sitting on my hands trying not to post about hyperextending the elbows...]

I think Adriene has improved her cueing over the years, or is it just me?

I am unintentionally a day behind but think I will remain so. That way I can get back into the habit of yoga at 6:30am on work days.

MH - Pilates/dance thinking for me always - NEVER 'lock' joints, 'soft knees' and I guess 'soft' elbows makes sense to me. Don't know how to cue it otherwise, perhaps by saying you don't want the joint under tension?

And yes I think her cueing has definitely improved. She's always been a great communicator - a real gift to have- but must have learned through teaching (as the best teachers do) how to communicate/teach even better.

Lawks, a lot of words to say something simple.

Cos I keep going on about it and I am so interested in ME ME ME ME I'm posting the pic of wrong and right position in starting blocks

(obvs I know some of you have seen all this previously) The RH pic is correct - on the other one I have drifted backwards into a more comfortable position.

I shall do day 3 tomorrow. I did a 'rebirth' one today which was good.
Re arm position, I find making sure my fingers are well spaced and index finger forward helps. I also thing the cue Adriene gives about the 'doming' of the upper back helps keep some of the pressure off my wrists.

All done! xxx

This is possibly just for me, mine all mine.

I'm all signed up for Adriene's 30 Days of Yoga: 'Move'. There's already a thread that's survived two previous incarnations (I believe I started that, too, back end 2019) I expect most Fetchies will post on there, or perhaps on the 'The Yoga Every (well, some) Days Thread'. Or somewhere else entirely. Or not at all.

HOWEVER
I reserve the right not to bother with Adriene's Day 30 if it takes its usu...
