Well done on the success, NSC
My run home this evening was better than expected so that's a plus. I take the good runs where I can get them. I have a half marathon on Sunday which I'm really not looking forward to, but I've decided that I'm going to do run/walk (10mins/1min) and finish feeling good.

I started “can” because I was totally fed up of how I was feeling
Running has been my pride and joy for years then WHAM... I’ve totally lost all ability for long running, piled on the pounds and don’t understand why my body wouldn’t work the same anymore

Finally stopped fighting it all, just accept it for whatever it is
I still can’t run properly but I tell you all what me and northern will be at that start line. We’re co wrong that distance
We “can” all move to better places of fitness etc.. a huge thing for me is to dooooo iiiiitttttttt rrreeeeaaaalllyyy sssslllooowwllyyy. Lol! I mean it!
And just focus on the good thing that day

So I did it - I went on the scales
Here goes
13st 11lb (heaviest ever) - first weigh in 13st 7lb - YEY (my normal "turning point" heaviest I get to) today 13st 12lb - no idea!
But I am NOT going to focus on this... I'm improving my fitness no end - I feel like this actually COULD be the end of my life with scales - I just do not see the point of this self destructive circle that leads us to bash ourselves up - I look much better (even to me) so I'm sorry scales just go jump!

Sharing this by the way from the point of view of an example of how we need to move our minds too... not looking for anything comment wise - just to show you all why I firmly believe scales and the dial have no place in my life anymore

Scales are not the absolute answer If you feel better and look better what’s a number?
Day off today so I thought I can go for a run on the moor, well march up and run down Very windy up there so good resistance training And it was worth it for the view
So happy I can get there by my own steam from home

Good going Northern... we always have the stomp and I really think we should use it
Scales are just not for me, been a slave that way for far too many years and it is on my hit list - is not a good thing for me.. I have learnt a lesson today - a really good one

Monday monday dear dear Monday
"I'll start on Monday" Well I didnt... since those bloody scales I have fell off the food cart and we have been norty little devils in the booze stakes too!
I am just about to go out of the door for a walk as it's gloriously sunny here today - I need the walk as I've that "muzzle" of a hangover because me and his nibs were sat in the garden last night having an impromptu celebration of the start of build for our garden shed workshop/pub
If last nights "pre" opening night was anything to go by the "spiders arms" will be a great place for a night in/out/out
However Monday monday rolled around and oh my word!!
Straight talking time - Where is the notebook? - Sort out the water
- Back to basics on food - Be better at the morning workout (this mornings was a right half hearted affair)
And,.. by the way.. where are you all? Norty canners!!!
