_andy isn't the only person to suggest carrying on with the challenge.

My friend also made the same suggestion. He did the same idea a few years ago whilst injured. I did point out that he chose February to do it and there are a couple of days fewer to row.

He did say that the last week was the hardest. The thought of rowing for 2+ hours every day seems a bit daunting.

But, we like a challenge so let's bring it on. 16k tomorrow then!

Well done Dave! And good luck with keeping it going. Let us know on this thread how it goes!

I'm glad that I did similar with the C2 March Challenge, picking 10k instead of 5k, and going for every day instead of "only" 25 days in March. But an accumulator like this is something else - the time commitment needs a lot of planning.

Good luck Dave. Does the distance have to be done in one go or can you break it into chunks to make the daily total? Or even over days, if you're a few k short one day is it permissible to catch up on another?

You can complete the distance in multiple sessions but i think i will prefer to get it done and dusted.

I'm definetely getting fitter but I've noticed that my stroke rate is increasing. At the start of the challenge, it was 19 or 20 but now it's trended up to 22 or 23 but the pace has also increased. I set the pace boat for 2:30 but am much quicker than that now.

Good to hear Nellers and fingers crossed for Tuesday!

Well done Dave I did that challenge two years ago, it certainly gets you in good shape, I didn't carry on after the 15th though. If carrying on adding 1k a day sounds daunting another option would be to do another 15k tomorrow and then come back down the pyramid - 1k less per day 😁

3 x 4000m this morning. Only done at UT2 but a satisfying sweaty session nonetheless.

I'm allowed out to play!

Well, I'm allowed to start exploratory test rowing, starting with an easy 500m row and then give it a couple of days before I try to increase it a bit if nothing aches or hurts or pings, and so on.

It's a long term plan, but it is a plan and it is rowing.
