Safe to say Kielder broke me!!

I had a fabulous run but for my foot and like a stubborn determined runner as I could physically run on it that’s what I did. But I really did t expect this at the end.

Myself and another girl were dead last but 30+ pulled out it were timed out at the checkpoints. We managed to scrape through the last one. And the course distance was a tad over 27miles not 26.5!! Is that an ultra?? Hahahahah

Ouch GG :-(
Healing vibes!

My run this morning turned into just 0.15 miles as my hip was really sore. So binned the plan to run to the gym, go on the bike and walk home (the bike is not comfortable!) and I went for a walk instead. So frustrating!

Oh pen you were doing so well sorry to hear it’s flared up again.

Top of my leg (groin?) is agony obviously over compensating for the foot. I’m in need of a new body.

Oh me too GG!
Oh well... we’ll get there.

Physio again tomorrow and a session with my trainer. Hope we can come up with a plan and a clearer understanding.

Well done, GG. It looks like you've started to RICE that foot!

Sorry to hear that things aren't going that well, PenW.

It's only March, so ease off for a few weeks both of you. At least you'll have healed up and feel a lot fresher for the remainder of the year.

It’s broken gutted. Don’t regret finishing though if I’d have pulled out the damage was already done.

Sorry to see/hear about your injuries GG and Pen. Hopefully with the right treatment you can be sorted soonish.

As Phil has already said, take it easy for now.

Oh GG, that looks really painful, plenty of RICE for you. Take care x

PenW, sorry to hear the hip is playing up, hope the fizz gets you sorted.

Meanwhile, I took part in a 5k dressed as Santa this morning. Pretty bizarre seeing hundreds of Santas running around the streets of Dagenham - original run was set to take place in December but was postponed due to snow, rather ironically!!
